Wireless charging for mobile devices, like smartphones, within the vehicle, and wireless charging for electric vehicles themselves are the two main categories. While the latter is now a standard feature of many car models, the former represents a higher level of technological integration and a more futuristic design concept.
The wireless charging technology for electric vehicles is mainly based on two principles: electromagnetic induction and magnetic resonance. Electromagnetic induction technology is relatively mature, but it requires the transmitting coil and the receiving coil to be closely aligned (usually within 10 centimeters), has a high charging efficiency, and the power transmission range varies from several kilowatts to tens of kilowatts. For instance, Porsche's recently released wireless charging system can provide up to 11 kilowatts of power with an efficiency of approximately 90%. Magnetic resonance technology allows for longer transmission distances (from a few centimeters to tens of centimeters), has a higher tolerance for coil misalignment, and can charge multiple devices simultaneously. However, it is more technically complex and has greater energy loss. These systems usually embed charging plates in parking Spaces. After the vehicle is parked, it will automatically align with the charging pad and start charging without any physical connection, thus enhancing convenience and safety. This makes them suitable for home garages, public parking lots, and even possibly for dynamic charging roads in the future.

- Which devices can use this car wireless charging product?It supports all devices that comply with the Qi wireless charging standard, such as smartphones (iPhone 8 and above, Huawei Mate series, Xiaomi 10 and above, etc.), wireless charging earphones, smartwatches (some models), etc. You can check the device manual for confirmation.
- Is the charging speed slower than wired charging?This product supports up to 15W wireless fast charging, which is similar to the speed of some wired fast charging. - How do I know if the device is charging?After the device is placed in the charging area, the transmitter's indicator light will turn blue, and the charging icon will be displayed on the device's screen.
